Athleisure Essentials from Denver Premium Outlets
We’ve all become well and truly obsessed with athleisure as of late, and who can blame us?! With retailers offering seriously cool and fashion-forward pieces that prioritize comfort, activewear that’s designed to perform and look chic is what’s filling our closets and topping our spring shopping lists. With this in mind, we tagged along as Colorado-based fashion lover Alex Eberly browsed for athleisure buys at Denver Premium Outlets. She found a whole host of stylish pieces that will be right at home both during a workout or when going out to brunch. Read on to see what Alex picked up (she snagged some major deals!) then be sure to stop by Denver Premium Outlets the next time you’re in the Mile High City.
We hear that you’re a regular at Denver Premium Outlets — why do you love this center?
I always love finding a good deal and that’s exactly what Denver Premium Outlets is all about! I love this center because you never know what you might find. I like exploring the variety of stores and walking around the beautifully landscaped center, and I always leave with so many new finds — all without breaking the bank! Denver Premium Outlets is a one-stop shop for everything I need (and those things I didn’t even know I needed until I saw them!).
What’s your shopping M.O. – do you come with a list of items that you’re hoping to find or do you see what speaks to you when in-store?
I typically like to see what speaks to me in each store. Sometimes I’ll have a general idea of what I’m looking for, especially if I’m shopping for a specific season or occasion, but the fun thing about shopping is just seeing what you fall in love with while in the store! You never know what you may come home with.
How would you describe your style?
I’d like to think my style is “casual chic.” Living in Denver, everywhere you go is pretty laid-back, but I like to add a little pop of style into everything that I wear. I’m a fan of investing in staple items and then bargain shopping for items that are unique and set an outfit apart!
Over the past year, we’ve all started wearing a lot more athleisure — how do you plan to transition these items as we start to spend more time outside of our homes?
I’m a big fan of athleisure and love how so many brands have created such cute athletic wear and matching sets this year! It’s been especially nice while being pregnant to not have to squeeze into jeans! I think as things continue to open up more, it’ll be great to wear these leisurewear pieces while running errands or to brunch.
Your first stop was aerie — what did you pick up?
aerie was so cute — I felt like I stepped into Southern California when I walked in the door! They had so many cute summer staples like cut off shorts, adorable tops, ruffled skirts, and fun accessories. You could easily purchase your entire warm weather wardrobe here!
I was super impressed by their leisurewear collection called “Offline,” and found the cutest floral leggings that I’ve already received so many compliments on. They were 50% off and such a steal!
Tell us about your visit to adidas Outlet Store.
I went into the adidas Outlet Store knowing that I was in the market for new running shoes and I love the ones I found! They’re white with gold on the sides and super on-trend, plus they’re ultra-comfortable and supportive. Now I’ll be looking stylish when I get back to the gym!
They also had such cute sneakers, which are what I live in during the day and are perfect to pair with jeans! I also found the cutest hoodie that is beige with neon yellow detailing on the collar — it is so soft and cozy and I have been living in it since I brought it home. Plus, everything was on sale, so you really can’t go wrong!
Last but not least, you stopped by Under Armour…
Under Armour is an athlete’s dream. I picked up a new pair of running shorts that will be getting a lot of use this summer between hikes and outdoor workouts — plus, they were a major steal! I also found an adorable purple long sleeve tee that’s perfect to throw on post-workout. Under Armour was full of lots of spring and summer athletic pieces… why would you ever pay full price with these outlets so close to home?!
How do you plan to style the items you picked up for spring?
Warmer weather means we finally get to put our coats away and soak up the sun! I am looking forward to basking in the good weather and working out outdoors in all my new athletic pieces. I am loving the pastel colors that the stores are offering this spring and look forward to adding these pops of color into my everyday wardrobe.
What are you most looking forward to this spring and summer?
We have our first child arriving in mid-June and cannot wait to welcome her. I am looking forward to being a first-time mom and playing outside with the little one. We are hoping to be outside as much as possible, have some mountain weekends, and enjoy the best of Denver during the best season!
