Budget-Friendly Holiday Buys at Camarillo Premium Outlets

The holidays have a tendency to take on a life of their own, financially-speaking, no matter how carefully you may budget. If there’s one thing we’ve learned over the years, though, it’s that sometimes it’s the smallest-ticket items that can have the biggest wow-factor. These are the gifts that truly take a lot of thought and searching, but luckily for us, we have an expert on our side.

Recently, we followed along with Rachel Richardson of Lovely in LA at Camarillo Premium Outlets as she shopped for some wallet-friendly presents for all of her closest friends and family. Suffice to say, Rachel came home with some sure-to-please gifts that have served as inspiration for our own lists!. Read on to see what she picked up, then head to your local Simon center to complete your holiday shopping list (within a reasonable budget!).

Tell us, are you a frequent shopper at Camarillo Premium Outlets?
Yes! I have been going to Camarillo Premium Outlets for years now because they are a quick drive from LA, parking is easy, and they always have the best deals. In fact, my bestie and I frequent the adidas Outlet Store and Nike Factory Store almost monthly for some of the best sales on footwear. I love the variety of stores too — you can DEFINITELY check everyone off your list here!

The holidays are right around the corner — whose holiday gifts were you shopping for?
I wanted to treat a few of my close friends (who doesn’t love a gift from ULTA Beauty?!), my sisters, mom, and assistant.

Did you have any particular gifts in mind?
I was looking for  cute accessories (headbands, berets, scarves, gloves), fun stocking stuffers at ULTA Beauty, sheet masks, and some shoes for myself. I don’t typically have too strict of an agenda when shopping because I love to wander through several stores and see what they have to offer. I found everything I was searching for and so much more at Camarillo Premium Outlets.

Tell us why picking up gifts that are reasonably priced is especially important this year.
This year has been tough for a lot of us and many of us may not have our typical holiday budget to spend on gifts. The sales at Camarillo were great on this shopping trip and I was able to stay within my budget so everyone on my list got a little something!

You headed to H&M first – tell us about what you found.
I was hoping to pick up some statement accessories for my friends and sisters and I found the cutest scarves, headbands, hats, and berets. H&M also had some great deals on cozy leggings, sweaters, and holiday dresses for less than $20. I was really able to stretch my budget here because everything in the store was an extra 25% off!

Then, it was on to Vans Outlet…
My experience at Vans Outlet was flawless — no lines, the store was merchandised beautifully (it was super easy to find everything!), and they were fully stocked with sizes! I ended up grabbing the cutest pair of classic Vans tennis shoes for my assistant (she’s obsessed) and a cool pair of socks to match. And, since shoes were buy-one-get-one-half-off, I picked up a second pair!

No shopping trip is complete without a visit to ULTA Beauty — what did you pick up?
What’s not to love about ULTA Beauty? I went up and down every aisle but ended up grabbing some great stocking stuffers and little gifts for friends. Sheet masks are a must, as are Too Faced eyeshadow palettes and mascara — they even have the best tree ornaments that double as gifts in the travel size section! I also picked up a NARS blush and a few things in the “5 for $5” stocking stuffer section. The store was clean and they had everything I was looking for… I even grabbed a few skincare products for myself!

Tell us about your visit to UGG®.
My sister lives in a colder climate so I knew I had to check out UGG® for their earmuffs, socks and slippers. They really do have the coziest robes and loungewear too!

Last but not least, it was on to The North Face…
The North Face has everything from chic beanies, to lightweight puffer jackets and vests, to gloves. I ended up snagging a bargain on a pair of warm gloves for my mom and a backpack that my sister had on her holiday wishlist.

Was there one deal that you’re super proud of from your shopping day?
I loved all the deals I scored at H&M! I got a little something for everyone on my list there and stayed within my budget.

Have you added anything to your own holiday wishlist after your shopping trip?
Yes! For my next splurge, I will be hitting the Coach outlet and taking advantage of the shoe sales at Nike Factory Store!
