Festival Fashion from Desert Hills Premium Outlets®
After a two-year hiatus, the days of dancing in the desert with your best friends to your favorite artists are finally back! To us, this mostly means that we get to partake in that very important, age-old tradition again–finding the perfect set of festival-ready outfits. We recently tagged along with California-based content creator and all-around cool girl Samira Radmehr on a shopping spree at Desert Hills Premium Outlets to search out and secure all the pieces we need for the occasion. Read on for some inspiration and be sure to stop by Desert Hills Premium Outlets on your way to Coachella Valley — its located just 20 minutes west of Palm Springs.
Tell us, what makes the perfect festival-ready outfit?
Something that offers style AND comfort. I’ve been to [music festivals] so many times and at the end of the day, being comfortable is key. My perfect outfit would incorporate my favorite current trends and really great accessories — I love a good fringe bag, cool hat, and lots of jewelry.
Who is your go-to festival style muse?
Hailey Bieber, she always has the best style!
Which artist are you most excited to see perform?
Can I pick more than one!? Harry Styles, Billie Eilish, Flume, and Megan Thee Stallion!
Tell us about your visit to Desert Hills Premium Outlets — what are your favorite brands to shop?
I was so excited to shop at Desert Hills Premium Outlets, it is my favorite thing to do any time I’m in the desert. I spent the day at the center shopping for festival ‘fits and checking out my favorite stores, as well as some new ones that recently opened! I love the designer selection at Desert Hills Premium Outlets, I can literally find all my favorite brands like Prada, Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta and more! For non-designer, my favorite brands to shop are Reformation, AllSaints, and rag & bone. I was happy to see they all had a great selection of festival inspired clothing!
First, you stopped by Reformation — what did you pick up?
I had such a great experience at Reformation! I was so happy to see such a good selection of cute clothes that are perfect for this spring and summer and, most importantly, for festival season. I tried on some really cute pieces and found my new favorite pair of pants there. I think clothes with a lot of prints and patterns are something we’ll see a lot this year during festival season, so I’m glad I was able to find it at Reformation. I love that the brand offers a mix of feminine and edgy looks so there is something for everyone.
Then, it was over to Alice & Olivia – what did you find?
I know I can always count on Alice & Olivia to have super cute looks, so I knew I had to stop in. They had so many looks perfect for festival season — I saw everything from a really cool feather skirt, to maxi dresses, to corset tops. The manager was also really kind and helped me put some looks together.
I ended up buying the most perfect white corset top — it fits so well and I think corsets will be a huge trend this year.
How do you plan to style the items that you picked up in the desert?
Although the pieces I bought could be worn separately, I plan on styling them together and pairing the look with a cool western-style hat, accessories, and boots! What I love about the pieces I picked is that I can also wear them after festival season is over. Sometimes I feel like it’s hard to re-wear items I’ve worn to festivals, but these days I am making sure to pick looks that I can wear over and over again.
Which shops are you most excited to visit during your next visit to Desert Hills Premium Outlets?
I definitely will be making a trip back soon because I heard Alo Yoga and IRO will be opening and I love shopping at both! I also always love to pop into the designer stores like Prada, FENDI, Balenciaga, CELINE, and more, so I will be checking out their new arrivals and then of course visiting my other faves like Reformation, GANNI, and AllSaints.
