Parisienne Street Style Chic!
It’s been a whirlwind of a fashion month, but it’s time to call it wraps on another successful round of shows. After some stellar style in New York, lovely looks in London, and of-the-moment magic in Milan (link TK), this week we finished off the season in the City of Lights. As enraptured as we always are with what happens on the Paris runways, there’s something even more riveting about French street style. We’re wrapping our fashion month coverage by spotlighting some of the chicest ensembles we saw on the sidewalks. And as an added bonus, we’re sharing how to get the look yourself with pieces currently available at your nearest Simon center. Scroll on for a bit of style inspo before coming to see us to create your own très chic look.
It’s no secret that bucket hats are back in a big way — hello again, ‘90s! But what made this duo stand out was the way they coordinated their headgear to their outfits in varying tones of the same shade. We’re taking lessons from this pair!
If you’ve been searching for a textbook example of how to mix patterns, look no further. By taking two pieces that sport checks of different textures and scales but both in black, Charlotte Groeneveld’s look is a definite winner.
We love a little reference to our favorite binge-worthy Netflix series, but what sold us on this look was the proportions — take a gander at the neckline and sleeve length on the T-shirt, as well as that rolled crop on those super-super-skinny jeans. Unstudied chic as only the French have perfected!
Edgy, stylish, powerful, and maybe a little intimidating — this look has it all. We’re especially loving the play of metal tones between the aviators and the hardware on that covetable leather trench.
Blazing Hot Blazers
Slim-fitting turtleneck, tailored blazer, tousled hair, trousers, and a black ankle boot: we’ve found the outfit we’ll be rocking all fall long.
Spotted on the Streets of Paris
We talk about scale and silhouette, but this lady’s got it right. The oversized shape of Refinery29’s Alyssa Coscarelli’s polka dot coat dress is on point, and we love the way she mirrored the size of the print with her crocodile-embossed belt and boots.
Sweater weather is here at last and this look is all about celebrating that. When the chunky knit of a pullover isn’t enough, opt for a version with a built-in scarf to boot and pair it with your favorite denim.
