What did The Domain mean to you growing up?

It’s always been the spot where I shopped, hung out, and without realizing it, built some of the biggest chapters of my life.

Tell us your first memory at a Simon center.

My first date with my husband at North Italia in The Domain. We still go back often. It’s where everything started for us, and now it’s so special getting to experience it full-circle as a family.

I remember texting my mom after our first date saying, “I think I just met my husband.” A few years later, he proposed in our apartment above the shops and surprised me with our friends and family waiting downstairs at North Italia to celebrate. Total full-circle moment.

What was your ritual when you arrived at The Domain?

I’d always park in the pink garage, grab Starbucks, and head to Luxe Apothetique.

Where would we have found you spending hours?

Walking The Domain with my dog and a vanilla latte. So many shops had treats for her and it felt like a little community.

Describe your “mall fit” from back then.

I definitely wasn’t a fashionista back then — I actually loved browsing through shops as a way to find my personal style. My “mall fit” was probably a simple T-shirt and jeans, but I always had a Coach purse on me.

Go-to meal?

The chicken pesto pasta from North Italia. I’d pick it up to-go and eat it in my apartment above the shops, watching a movie — my perfect little ritual.

A store you still miss?

Luxe Apothetique! It was my go-to store for everything — outfits, gifts, trinkets. I still miss it so much.

Your favorite seasonal memory.

I always loved the Christmas time at The Domain. The lights, the giant tree, and the music made everything feel so magical.

What would you tell your younger self if you saw her here?

I’d tell her to soak it all in — this place will become such a big part of her life. She’ll meet amazing people here who’ll become lifelong friends, and even the love of her life.

Where should visitors go first today?

Christian Louboutin — those red carpets are iconic.

From late-night pasta dinners to full-circle family traditions, Gabrielle’s memories prove that The Domain is a place that grows with you. Whether it’s your first visit or your hundredth, there’s always a new story waiting to begin.
