The Best Stocking Stuffers at SouthPark
It’s the most wonderful time of the year and we’re here to make sure the holiday shopping experience is as easy and stress-free as possible. With shipping delays rumored to be at an all-time high this year, a shopping trip to a location that has everything you need under one roof is just the thing to ensure you find the perfect gifts for everyone on your list and get them under the tree in plenty of time. Recently, we tagged along with Alexandria Hodges to SouthPark to stock up on stocking stuffers for the whole family. She visited Nordstrom, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and Anthropologie and came home with items her friends and family are sure to love (plus a little something for herself!). Read on and be sure to visit your local Simon center for all your holiday finds.
Tell us about your visit to SouthPark — have you visited the center before?
Yes! It’s my favorite place to shop in our area and I love the variety of stores (including some amazing luxury stores!) that are all under one roof.
The holidays are right around the corner, what’s your stocking stuffer gift strategy? What types of items do you tend to include in your family’s stockings?
My go-to stocking stuffers are items that I know my friends and family can toss into their travel bags and purses or things that will come in handy when they’re on-the-go. I tend to include smaller versions of products that I know they already use, like their favorite lotions, lip balms, skincare essentials, and more.
We hear you stopped by Nordstrom — tell us, what did you pick up?
Nordstrom is one of my favorite stores at SouthPark. The store had all of their holiday decorations out and it looked so homey – the perfect ambiance for this time of year! I focused on picking up key beauty items for my friends and family and came away with some minis that I know they’ll love. I found mini lip glosses from Kopari, a mini Charlotte Tilbury Gloss and Mascara Duo, a Laura Mercier Mini Powder Set, and a Jack Black skincare essentials set for my husband.
Then it was over to Dick’s Sporting Goods — what did you pick up for the family?
My husband always loves going into Dick’s Sporting Goods so I knew I’d be able to find some amazing items for his stocking. I gravitated right to their YETI section, I knew they’d have great stocking stuffers. I grabbed two YETI wine glasses — a gift for both of us!
Lastly, you visited Anthropologie — how was your experience there?
Anthropologie is such a neat store — they have so many options for stocking stuffers. From their iconic initial-adorned mugs to their assortment of candles, the opportunities are endless. I picked up their Capri Blue Volcano Hand Lotion — I think it’s the perfect item to keep in your car or purse for when you’re on the go and I know my family will love this one.
Which item are you the most excited to give this season?
Definitely the YETI wine glasses — they’ll get a ton of use!
How did your experience differ from that of years past?
Shopping at SouthPark was such a nice change from shopping online. My experience this year was great, I got to see everything that each store had to offer plus all of the sales associates were there to guide me when I didn’t know exactly what to pick out! I loved the displays at Nordstrom and Anthropologie, too. On top of all of that, just the ability to be able to leave the store with my stocking stuffers in-hand is such a plus; especially since shipping times are so long these days!
What is your most favorite holiday tradition?
Cuddling up with my husband, turning on the fire, and putting on our favorite holiday movie, Four Christmases. Now that we have our son, we will play Santa and I can’t wait for that, too!
